Used Laptop Price in BD 40,000 to 50,000 Taka (2026 List)

With 40,000 to 50,000 taka to spend, a checked used business laptop gives you far more for the money than most new budget machines. This guide shows the real used laptop price in BD 40,000 to 50,000 taka at Megabuy BD and explains which model suits students, office staff, freelancers and programmers. The short answer: this budget buys an 11th Gen Intel or Ryzen 5000 business laptop with 16GB RAM, and the HP EliteBook 840 G8 and 850 G8 are the safest all-round picks.

What 40,000 to 50,000 Taka Gets You

Below 40,000 taka, most used laptops are 8th or 10th Gen machines with 8GB RAM. Crossing the 40,000 mark changes the picture. Most models in this range were built between 2020 and 2022, and many already come with 16GB RAM fitted.

Processor

Expect an Intel Core i5 11th Gen, a 10th Gen Core i7, or an AMD Ryzen 5 / Ryzen 7 from the 4000 and 5000 series. These chips have four to eight cores. They open big Excel files, many browser tabs and Zoom calls together without the slowdown older dual-core laptops show.

Memory and storage

16GB RAM is common here, and that is the most useful upgrade over a cheaper laptop. Storage is an NVMe SSD of 256GB or 512GB. If you keep a lot of photos or project files, the 512GB versions save you from buying an external drive later.

Screen, build and ports

Almost every model here has a 14-inch or 15.6-inch Full HD screen, a backlit keyboard and a metal or reinforced body. USB-C charging is normal on this generation, so one small charger can also top up your phone.

Best Picks by Use

Office work and university

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is the balanced choice. The 11th Gen chip has Intel Iris Xe graphics, which make video calls, slides and light photo work smooth. It is light enough to carry every day and has a comfortable keyboard for long reports.

Programming and heavy multitasking

Coders who run an IDE, a local server and many browser tabs should look at core count. The HP ProBook 445 G9 with Ryzen 7 5825U has eight cores and sixteen threads, so builds and virtual machines finish faster. It comes with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD at 47,900 taka.

A bigger screen for spreadsheets

Accountants and data-entry staff often prefer a numeric keypad and more space for columns. The HP EliteBook 850 G8 has a 15.6-inch screen with a full-size keyboard and number pad, plus 16GB RAM.

Travel and light carrying

If you carry your laptop on buses and rickshaws all day, weight matters. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 2, the HP ZBook Firefly 14 G8 and the Surface Laptop 4 are the slimmest options in this list. See more slim models in our used Lenovo ThinkPad range.

Touch screen and newest generation

The Dell Latitude 5440 is the newest laptop here, with a 13th Gen Core i5 and a 14-inch Full HD touch screen. It suits people who sign PDFs, mark up slides or simply want the most recent hardware this budget allows.

macOS on a budget

The MacBook Pro 2017 is the cheapest way into macOS in this range and has a sharp Retina screen. Keep in mind that macOS Ventura is the last major version Apple released for the 2017 model, so it does not get new macOS features any more.

Used Business Laptop or New Budget Laptop?

At around 45,000 taka, a new laptop from a shop usually comes with a plastic body, 8GB RAM and a basic screen. A used business laptop at the same price often gives you:

• Double the RAM: 16GB instead of 8GB, which keeps the laptop usable for more years.
• Better build: metal lids and keyboards designed for office use all day.
• Business features: fingerprint readers, backlit keys and Thunderbolt or USB-C docking on many models.
• Easy repair: parts such as batteries, keyboards and SSDs for popular business models are easy to find in Bangladesh.

A new laptop still makes sense if you want a full factory warranty and an untouched battery. For most buyers, though, the used business route gives more performance per taka.

How to Choose in This Budget

1. Pick 16GB RAM if you can. With Windows 11, Chrome and Office open together, 8GB fills up quickly. Most picks in this range already have 16GB.
2. Check the generation, not only i5 or i7. An 11th Gen Core i5 is usually quicker than an older Core i7 in daily use, and it has much better built-in graphics.
3. Decide on screen size first. 14-inch is easier to carry; 15.6-inch is better for long spreadsheet days.
4. Look at storage needs. 256GB is fine for documents and cloud users. Choose 512GB for photos, video or many software installs.
5. Ask about battery health and condition. Every used unit is a little different. Ask us about the battery and body before you order, then follow our used laptop buying checklist when the parcel arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is the best used laptop between 40,000 and 50,000 taka?

For most people, the HP EliteBook 840 G8 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is the best all-round choice. It has an 11th Gen Core i5, Iris Xe graphics and a light 14-inch body. Programmers may prefer the ProBook 445 G9 for its eight-core Ryzen 7.

Can I get 16GB RAM in this budget?

Yes. Most laptops in our 40,000 to 50,000 taka list come with 16GB RAM, including the EliteBook 840 G7, 840 G8, 845 G7, 850 G8, ThinkPad T14s Gen 2, ProBook 445 G8 and G9, and Latitude 5440. That is enough for office work, coding and light editing.

Is a used laptop in this range good for graphic design?

It is fine for Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator at a learning or freelance level, especially models with Iris Xe or Ryzen graphics and 16GB RAM. None of these laptops has a separate graphics card, so heavy 3D work or 4K video editing needs a higher budget.

Do these laptops run Windows 11?

All the Windows laptops in this list use processors on Microsoft's supported list for Windows 11, so they can run it officially. The MacBook Pro 2017 runs macOS instead. Ask our team which operating system is installed on the unit you choose before you order.
