Cash Drawer Price in Bangladesh

Every shop that takes cash at a counter needs a safe, orderly place to keep notes and coins. A POS cash drawer does that job better than a wooden box or a table drawer: it stays locked until a sale is printed, then springs open so the cashier can give change quickly. That means fewer mistakes, less temptation and a clear link between every opening and a real transaction.

Supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, fashion shops and mobile accessory stores across Bangladesh now run POS software, and a cash drawer is the natural partner for that setup. Megabuy BD lists each drawer with its interface, lock type and tray layout, so you can match it to your receipt printer before ordering with cash on delivery.

Types of Cash Drawer

• Electronic POS cash drawers that open automatically when the receipt printer sends a pulse through an RJ11 or RJ12 cable, such as the Xcash M405E.
• Heavy-duty metal drawers built to handle being opened and pushed shut hundreds of times a day.
• Drawers with a 3-position key lock (lock, manual and auto), so the owner can lock the till or open it by key during a power cut.
• Drawers with note clips and coin cups that keep each denomination separate for faster change.

How to Choose a Cash Drawer

• Check your printer port: most thermal receipt printers have a drawer kick port that takes an RJ11 or RJ12 plug. Look at the back of your printer or its manual before you buy.
• Measure the counter: a drawer sits under the POS monitor or under the counter top, so measure the space and leave room for the drawer to open fully.
• Count your notes: busy shops handle many denominations; choose a tray with enough note sections and coin cups.
• Pick metal for daily use: a metal body lasts longer than plastic on a counter that is used all day.

FAQ

How does a cash drawer open automatically?
The drawer cable plugs into the receipt printer. When your POS software prints a bill, the printer sends a short pulse and the drawer opens.

Can I use a cash drawer without a POS printer?
Yes, in manual mode you can open it with the key, but you lose the automatic opening after each sale.

What is the difference between RJ11 and RJ12?
They are similar phone-style plugs; RJ12 has six contacts and RJ11 usually four. Both are used for printer drawer ports, so check your printer manual and ask us if you are unsure which one you need.
