Looking for a list of the top 10 Bangla newspapers in Bangladesh with their official website links? This guide is for readers at home and abroad who want reliable Bangla news on their phone or computer, from students preparing for exams to expatriates following news from home. The short answer: widely read national Bangla dailies include Prothom Alo, The Daily Ittefaq, Samakal, Naya Diganta, Manab Zamin, Bonik Barta, Inqilab, Desh Rupantor, Ajker Patrika and Bhorer Kagoj. Each link below goes to the paper's official website, which we checked opens a working page.

How We Chose These Newspapers

There is no single official, public ranking of Bangla newspaper readership that we could verify, and website traffic figures from third-party tools change every month and are often estimates. So this is not a ranking. Instead, we included national Bangla dailies that:

• publish a daily print edition and a regularly updated news website,
• cover national news, politics, business, sports and entertainment,
• have an official website that opened correctly when we tested it.

The papers are listed in alphabetical order after the first two long-established names, so do not read the position as a score.

More Popular Bangla Dailies

Other widely read national Bangla newspapers include Jugantor (যুগান্তর), Kaler Kantho (কালের কণ্ঠ), Bangladesh Pratidin (বাংলাদেশ প্রতিদিন), The Daily Janakantha (জনকণ্ঠ) and The Daily Sangbad (সংবাদ). If you want to visit them, search the newspaper's name and make sure the address in the result matches the paper's printed web address before you open it.

How to Read Bangla Newspapers Online

Step 1: Use the official website or app

Type the address directly or bookmark it. Many big papers also have Android and iPhone apps; download only the one published under the newspaper's own name.

Step 2: Read the e-paper for the print layout

Many dailies offer an e-paper (ই-পেপার) that shows the printed pages exactly as they appear in the newspaper. Look for the "E-Paper" link at the top or bottom of the website. It is useful for exam preparation, job circulars and tenders that appear in print.

Step 3: Follow papers in Google News

In the Google News app, search for a newspaper and tap Follow. You will see its stories together with other sources, which helps you compare reports on the same event.

Step 4: Make Bangla text readable

Modern Android phones, iPhones and Windows show Bangla text correctly. If you see boxes instead of letters on an old computer, update the browser or install a Unicode Bangla font. Increase the font size in your browser for long reading.

How to Choose the Right Bangla Newspaper

• For general news: pick one or two all-round dailies and read them every day.
• For business and jobs: a business daily such as Bonik Barta, plus a general paper for job circulars.
• For balance: read the same story in two papers with different editorial views. This is the easiest way to spot bias.
• For safety: avoid copycat sites with similar names, and do not trust shocking headlines shared on Facebook until you find the story on a known newspaper's own site.
• For data savings: use the website's text pages instead of video, or read the e-paper on Wi-Fi.

Read the News Even During Load-Shedding

Most people now read newspapers on their phones. A long-lasting phone and a Wi-Fi router that stays on during power cuts make daily reading easier.
