Nvidia RTX Spark laptops are the first Windows laptops built around Nvidia's own processor, not an Intel or AMD chip with an Nvidia graphics card added. They went on sale in the US in October 2026, starting at about US$2,599. If you are in Bangladesh and wondering whether to wait for one, the short answer is: they are exciting for AI and creative work, but they are expensive, brand new, and depend on Windows on Arm software support. For most buyers, a proven Intel or AMD laptop is still the safer choice this year.
Below we explain what RTX Spark is, which laptops use it, what is confirmed, what is still unknown, and what it could mean for the future of Windows laptops.
What Is Nvidia RTX Spark?
Nvidia announced RTX Spark at Computex 2026 in Taipei. It is a "superchip": one package that combines an Arm-based CPU, Nvidia's Blackwell RTX graphics and a large pool of shared memory. The chip was known during development by the codename N1X. Nvidia designed it with MediaTek, and Microsoft worked on Windows support.
It is closely related to the GB10 chip inside Nvidia's DGX Spark, a small AI computer that has run Linux since 2025. RTX Spark brings that design to Windows 11 on Arm.
Confirmed configurations
According to Nvidia's details reported by Windows Central and Tom's Guide, there are two versions:
| Version | CPU cores | GPU (Blackwell CUDA cores) | Unified memory |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top configuration | 20 | 6,144 | Up to 128GB |
| Lower laptop configuration | 18 | 5,120 | 24GB or 32GB |
"Unified memory" means the CPU and GPU share the same memory, like Apple's M-series Macs. That is a big deal for AI: a large language model that does not fit into a normal laptop GPU's 8–16GB of video memory can fit into a 128GB shared pool.
Which Nvidia RTX Spark Laptops Are Available?
Nvidia named Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI and Microsoft as launch partners. Reported launch models include the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, a Dell XPS 16 and an Asus ProArt P14. US retail listings reported by Tom's Guide and 91mobiles show prices from about US$2,599 for the base Surface Laptop Ultra, rising to several thousand dollars for high-memory versions.
There is no official Bangladesh launch or local price yet. Any imported unit will cost more after duties, and local warranty support is uncertain at this early stage.
What Nvidia Claims, and What Is Unproven
Claims
- AI: Nvidia positions RTX Spark as a machine for running AI models and "agentic" assistants locally, without the cloud.
- Creative work: the RTX GPU supports Nvidia's usual tools for video, 3D and photo apps.
- Gaming: Nvidia says DLSS, Reflex and ray tracing work natively on Arm, and showed Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at 1440p with ray tracing above 100 fps. That is Nvidia's own demo figure.
Open questions
- App compatibility: Windows on Arm runs most modern apps, and Microsoft's Prism emulator handles many older x86 programmes, but some software, printer drivers and games with anti-cheat systems may not work or may run slowly.
- Battery life and heat: full independent reviews were still limited at the time of writing.
- Price: these are premium machines. Nvidia has not announced cheaper models.
RTX Spark vs Today's Laptop Options
| Platform | CPU type | Best for | Main caution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nvidia RTX Spark | Arm (Nvidia/MediaTek) | Local AI, creators, premium buyers | New platform, high price, Arm compatibility |
| Qualcomm Snapdragon X laptops | Arm | Battery life, light work | Weak for gaming, same Arm app issues |
| Apple MacBook (M-series) | Arm (Apple) | Creators, students, long battery | macOS, not Windows |
| Intel Core / AMD Ryzen laptops | x86 | Everyone, widest software support | Gaming models are heavier and use more power |
What It Means for the Future of Windows Laptops
For decades, almost every Windows laptop used an Intel or AMD processor. Qualcomm opened the door to Arm Windows laptops in 2024, and Nvidia's entry adds a company with strong graphics and AI software. If developers release more Arm-native apps and games, Windows laptops could become more like MacBooks: thinner, cooler and better at AI, with strong graphics in one chip. Intel and AMD are responding with their own AI-focused chips, so buyers should benefit from the competition either way.
How to Choose a Laptop Now
- Office, study and freelancing: a proven Intel or AMD laptop gives the widest software support at a far lower price. See our Ryzen vs Intel laptop guide.
- Creative work on a budget: a business laptop with 16GB RAM plus an external colour-accurate monitor is a strong setup.
- Prefer Arm and long battery life: a MacBook is the mature option today; our MacBook Air vs Pro guide helps you choose.
- Want RTX Spark: wait for independent reviews, local warranty options and confirmed software support for the apps you use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nvidia RTX Spark?
RTX Spark is Nvidia's first processor for Windows laptops. It combines an Arm CPU with up to 20 cores, Blackwell RTX graphics and up to 128GB of memory shared between CPU and GPU, all in one package. It was designed with MediaTek, runs Windows 11 on Arm, and is aimed at AI and creative work.
Can RTX Spark laptops play games?
Yes, Nvidia says DLSS, Reflex and ray tracing work natively, and it showed strong results in its own demo. However, many Windows games are built for x86 processors and must run through emulation, and some anti-cheat systems do not support Arm yet. Check reviews and your favourite games' compatibility before buying for gaming.
Are RTX Spark laptops available in Bangladesh?
Not officially at the time of writing. They went on sale in the US and some other markets in October 2026, starting at about US$2,599. Imported units would cost more after duties and may not carry local warranty. Expect wider availability, and possibly cheaper models, later.
Is RTX Spark better than a MacBook?
It is too early to say. Both use Arm processors with unified memory, and RTX Spark offers a stronger Nvidia GPU and Windows. MacBooks have a mature software ecosystem, proven battery life and lower starting prices. Independent reviews comparing performance, battery life and heat will decide which is better for each type of user.
