About the NEC LCD-AS223WM

A Japanese Business Display

NEC built the AS223WM series for Japanese offices, schools and businesses. This unit came to Bangladesh as a pre-owned Japanese market model. The listed model codes are LCD-AS223WM-W4 for white and LCD-AS223WM-B4 for black.

Full HD on a 21.5-Inch Panel

The screen packs 1920 x 1080 pixels into a 21.5-inch wide panel with a 0.248mm pixel pitch. That small pitch keeps text crisp, even in long spreadsheets. It is the same resolution most laptops and streaming videos use today.

HDMI Plus Audio in One Box

Many older Japanese monitors only offer VGA and DVI. This model adds HDMI, which also carries sound to the 1W plus 1W stereo speakers. There is a 3.5mm audio input and a headphone jack as well.

Design & Performance

Design and Build

The body measures about 507 x 365 x 205mm with the stand. It weighs around 4.1kg with the stand and 3.7kg without it. The stand tilts 20 degrees back and 5 degrees forward, but it does not swivel or move up and down.

Our listing photos show a white unit, but this series was also sold in black. Please ask us which colour is in stock before you order. As a used monitor, the frame may show small marks from earlier office life.

Performance in Daily Use

The panel is rated at 250 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 typical contrast ratio. Response speed is listed at 5ms, which keeps scrolling and videos smooth. Viewing angles are 170 degrees side to side and 160 degrees up and down.

A TN panel looks best when you sit straight in front of it. Colours can shift a little if you look from far above or below. For office work, browsing and video calls, that is rarely a problem.

Who It's For

Home Office Workers

If you use a laptop at home, this screen gives you a bigger Full HD workspace. Connect it with HDMI and enjoy sound from the built-in speakers. Pair it with a full-size keyboard for a proper desk setup.

Small Offices With Mixed PCs

Offices often run old desktops beside newer laptops. With VGA, DVI-D and HDMI on one monitor, almost any of them can connect. That makes this model easy to move between desks whenever your office computers change.

Students and Online Classes

Online classes need a clear screen and working sound. The Full HD panel shows slides sharply, and the speakers handle class audio. A headphone jack is there when you need quiet study time at night.

Simple Buying Guide

Match the Port to Your PC

Check which video output your computer has before ordering. HDMI is common on laptops, while older desktops may only have VGA or DVI. A good HDMI cable gives the cleanest digital picture.

Speakers Versus Headphones

Built-in monitor speakers are fine for calls and casual videos. They are small, so music and films will sound better on separate speakers. Use the headphone jack when you share a room with others.

Check the Power Plan

This model is listed for AC 100 to 240V input, so it supports local mains power by specification. Japanese units may still arrive with a Japanese-style plug or no cord. Ask us which power cord comes with your unit.

Easy Steps to Check Before You Order

First, confirm that your computer or laptop has an HDMI, DVI or VGA output that matches one of the inputs on this monitor.

Next, ask our team about the colour, the screen condition and any marks on the frame of this exact unit.

Then, check the latest price on this page and ask which signal cable and power cord are included with it.

Last, keep your phone switched on so our team can call you to confirm the order and address.
