About the Honor X9d 5G

An 8300mAh Battery That Stays Slim

Honor lists an 8300mAh typical capacity for the X9d, yet the phone is only 7.76 mm thick and about 193g. Wired charging reaches 66W with a 20V/3.3A charger. It can also share 7.5W reverse wired charging with earbuds or another phone.

Top-Level Water and Dust Ratings

The X9d carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. Honor also describes SGS triple-resistant and reliability certifications. These ratings come from lab tests, so normal care is still wise.

A Bright AMOLED Display

The 6.79-inch AMOLED panel has 1200 x 2640 resolution, a 120Hz maximum refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour. Honor rates it at 800 nits typical, 1800 nits HBM and 6000 nits peak. 3840Hz PWM dimming helps reduce flicker in dim rooms.

Design & Performance

Design and Build

The X9d measures 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76 mm. It has a glass front with aluminosilicate protection, and an optical fingerprint sensor sits under the display. The three colours here are Reddish Brown, Midnight Black and Sunrise Gold.

Stereo speakers handle videos and calls on speaker mode. There is no 3.5mm jack, so audio uses USB Type-C or Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC and aptX Adaptive support. Wi-Fi 6 and NFC are included as well.

Performance in Daily Use

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is a 4nm octa-core chip with a top core at 2.3GHz and an Adreno 810 GPU. With 12GB RAM, the phone handles heavy multitasking, streaming and popular games smoothly. MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15 runs on top.

The rear camera pairs a 108MP f/1.75 main sensor with OIS and a 5MP wide camera. It records 4K video at 30fps with gyro-EIS support. The 16MP front camera covers selfies and video calls.

Who It's For

Travellers and Long-Distance Commuters

Long bus and train journeys drain most phones before arrival. The 8300mAh battery is built for these days, and 66W charging fills it quickly. Reverse charging can even top up your wireless earbuds on the road.

Outdoor and Field Workers

Construction, farming and delivery work often means rain, dust and water. The IP69K, IP69 and IP68 ratings give extra peace of mind in such conditions. A strong phone holder keeps it safe on a bike.

Content Lovers

The bright 120Hz AMOLED screen and stereo speakers suit movies, sports and gaming. 4K video recording with OIS makes travel clips look smoother. It is a good all-round choice for people who use their phone from morning to night.
