About the Honor Pad 9

Sound Comes First

Eight speakers placed around the frame make the Pad 9 one of the loudest tablets in its range. HONOR Histen tuning spreads sound wide when you hold it sideways. Films, cartoons and music feel full without an extra speaker.

A Large and Sharp Screen

The 12.1-inch IPS LCD shows 2560 x 1600 pixels with 1.07 billion colours. Small text in PDFs and websites stays easy to read. A 120Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling and swiping smooth.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Inside

The 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 has four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.2GHz and Adreno 710 graphics. Together with 8GB RAM, it handles study apps, streaming and casual games well. The 256GB storage leaves room for offline videos.

Design & Performance

Design and Build

The Pad 9 measures 278.27 x 180.11 x 6.9 mm and weighs about 555 grams. It has a glass front and an aluminium frame and back. This unit comes in a Space Gray finish that hides small marks well.

The round camera bump sits in the middle of the back edge. A USB Type-C port supports charging, data and OTG accessories. The thin bezels keep the large screen in focus during films and long video calls.

Performance in Daily Use

Apps open quickly and split-screen work runs without much waiting. Heavy 3D games may need lower graphics settings on this mid-range chip. For classes, browsing and streaming, the speed feels comfortable all day.

The 8300mAh battery handles long film nights and full school days. The 13MP rear camera with autofocus can record 4K video and scan documents clearly. The 8MP front camera is good for video calls in a well-lit room.

Who It's For

Film and Music Lovers

If you watch dramas, cricket highlights or cartoons often, the eight speakers make a real difference. Many viewers will not need a separate speaker at home. For private listening at night, add a pair of headphones or earphones.

Students Who Read a Lot

The wide screen fits a full A4 page, so lecture notes and e-books are comfortable to read. Split screen lets you watch a class and take notes together. The battery lasts through long study sessions.

Home Users on a Budget

Families wanting a large shared screen get good value from the Pad 9. It works for video calls with relatives abroad and for children's learning apps. Parents can set separate user spaces and time limits.

Simple Buying Guide

Pad 9 or Pad 10

The Pad 10 has a faster chip, a bigger battery and newer software. The Pad 9 gives more speakers and a higher 13MP rear camera. Choose based on whether sound or raw speed matters more to you in daily use.

Software Version

The Pad 9 launched with MagicOS 7.2 on Android 13. Future updates depend on Honor and your region, so do not expect the newest Android. Most popular apps still run well on this version.

Charging Speed

The tablet supports 35W wired charging. A slower phone charger will still work but takes much longer. A good fast charger can cut charging time noticeably.
